To encourage participation, OBC is continuing the monthly teams' session. This will be held on the 3rd Friday morning of each month.
Open and Restricted categories (In this competition, Restricted players will have fewer than 100 masterpoints).
· Open to all members of Orange Bridge Club.
· Played on the afternoon of the second Monday of each month from February to November.
· Members are automatically entered into the Clark Trophy, free of charge, simply by playing in the eligible sessions.
· Members receive points towards the trophies for each session that they play with a different partner.
· To maximise their points, members should try to play with a different partner at each of the eligible sessions.
Awarded to the most successful “bottoms” member (fewer than 30 Masterpoints) calculated from 1st January to 30th November each year.
A monthly eclectic competition is held each month from February to November. Members are automatically entered into Eclectic Competitions, free of charge, simply by playing in eligible sessions.
Eligible sessions are:
February and July - Monday afternoon
March and August - Wednesday morning
April and September - Wednesday evening
May and October - Friday morning
June and November - Saturday afternoon
Bonus green masterpoints are awarded for each Monthly Eclectic Competition. To be eligible you need to play at least three of the nominated sessions with the same partner in the month. The top half of the eligible field receives bonus green points.
Rookie Rivalry, a new event open to players with less than 10 masterpoints, is aimed at encouraging our newer players to participate fully in club events. This event is dependent on there being a sufficient number of interested players (12+ players).
In 2022 the Suzanne Kay Trophy will be awarded to the member who scores the best percentage in the club in the following 4 events:
· Bridge for Brains - date to be confirmed
· State Wide Pairs - Monday 1st August
· Australia Wide Pairs - Monday 29th August
· 4th event, to be advised

· To compete for the Pairs Championship, players must have the same partner for the 2 session event.
· The event will include a Novice championship (subject to there being at least three Novice teams participating).
· The format will be at the discretion of the director.
Awarded to the Home Club member who wins the most points in Orange Bridge Club up to Club Master rank (5 Masterpoints) calculated from 1st December 2021 to 30th November 2022.
