Welcome

Welcome to the Peoria Duplicate Bridge Club.  Every Tuesday morning at 11:00, Tuesday evening at 6:30, and Friday morning at 11:00 we hold an American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) sanctioned duplicate bridge game open to the public.  Our games are held at Life Together Center, 3625 N. Sheridan Road in Peoria, Illinois.  Most of our sessions use pre-dealt hands used by The Common Game and scoring is done electronically using hand-held BridgePads.  Hand records and results are available immediately following the games.  Our Club participates in The Common Game so your results are scored across a large field and can be viewed on The Common Game website.

Bridge players who have not played duplicate bridge before are always welcome to play.  Any rubber bridge player can easily get up to speed on duplicate with a modicum of instruction.  Instructions on the differences between rubber bridge and duplicate are given to new players before each game at 10:30 and 6:00.  Players new to duplicate are especially encouraged to attend our "299er" games that are held on Tuesday evenings each month and/or our "Newcomer" games at 11:00 on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays.  The "299er" and Newcomer games are limited to players who are fairly new to duplicate and are played in a relaxed atmosphere in conjunction with the regular weekly open game.

Entry fees are $7 for our Open games and $5 for the 299er and Newcomer games.

Our Club is in Unit 208 and District 8 of the ACBL.

Our Club was incorporated in 2012 as an Illinois Not-for-Profit corporation and is a tax-exempt social welfare organization which promotes the game of bridge in the greater Peoria community.  The Club gives bridge instruction to those who desire to learn the game or improve their skills.  The Club is a membership organization that is governed by a board of directors who are elected at the Club's annual membership meeting held each June.  There are currently 49 members of the Club.  Annual dues are $5.00.

Board Corrections

Mistakes happen.  Our BridgePads record only what the players enter and we are all prone to the occasional mistake.  Our Club's policy is to correct any scoring errors if the Club Manager is notified of the error within 24 hours after the completion of the game.  So contact Chuck (preferably by email) at peoriadbc@gmail.com or results@peoriabridgeclub.com within that time frame if you find an error.  Results are posted on the ACBL website and our own website usually within 30 minutes after the game ends.
