The Western Cape SAWBA Inter-Provincial Trials took place on the 6th and 7th July online on BBO. Six teams entered and there was a round robin of five 14-board matches very professionally organised by Steve Bunker, who was also the TD. The final results are attached here.

Our congratulations to the winning team - Erica Zimet, Shirley Glyn, Rose Duff, Griet Horak and Wendy Praetorius - who will represent the Western Cape in the A Section of the national inter-provincials in August. The second placed team - Michele Alexander, Jocelyn Ashberg, Merle Bracher, Marilyn Bradley and Shirley Kaminer - will represent the Western Cape in the B Section. The Bunny Pritchard Bowl will have Valerie Velaers, Wina Loubser, Carren Emary and Carin Verburg as the Western Cape representatives.

Everyone agreed that it was a very well-run tournament (thank you, Steve!) and that, besides being closely contested, was also most enjoyable. Congratulations and thanks to all who participated.
