Obituary Info for Jim Rinnovatore

James “Jim” V. Rinnovatore, 91, of Mt. Arlington, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024, at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ. Jim was born on December 3, 1932, in Philadelphia, PA to the late John and Anna Rinnovatore. He grew up in Philadelphia and lived in Flanders, NJ for 39 years before moving to Mt. Arlington 6 years ago He earned a master’s degree in metallurgical engineering and spent his entire career working for the Frankford Arsenal in Philadelphia then for Picatinny Arsenal in Wharton NJ.  Jim was a devout Catholic and member of St. Jude Parish in Budd Lake, NJ, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was also an avid reader, U.S. History enthusiast and author who wrote several books about JFK. He was a passionate fan of the NY Yankees and Philadelphia Eagles. He also loved playing bridge and was an expert player.  It was a big part of his life.   

 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary Anne (Cavacini), three devoted children, Carol (Francis), James Jr. (Lisa), and Diane (Patrick), five loving grandchildren, Danielle, Kristen, Alyssa, Vincent, and Anastasia, four cherished great-grandchildren, Nathan, Liam, Lily, and Jaxon, brother-in-law, Timothy (Stephanie), sister-in-law, Jeanne Miller, and by many other loving family members and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Russell Miller.

 

Jim’s Life Celebration will include a memorial visitation on Sunday November 3, 2024, from 2 pm-4 pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home (908) 879-3090, 15 Furnace (corner of Route 206) Chester, NJ 07930. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday November 4, 2024, at 10:30 am at St. Jude Parish in Budd Lake. Inurnment will follow at the Flanders Hillside Cemetery in Roxbury Township, NJ.
