We are sad to learn that Larry Bennett passed away on 26 February. Though he played in the early years of the Club, for many years he was the Tournament Director on the main Monday evening session. He was also a County Director, and officiated at congresses. He was made a Life Member of this Club and earned several mentions in our 30th anniversary magazine published in 2014. He was occasionally known by the nickname Grumpy, but he was a fair and efficient director and contributed greatly to the running of the Club over many years.
