 Allison Ochsner

Allison Ochsner…if you are lucky you know her!

And Clear Lake Bridge Club is DARN LUCKY to have her as a member!!

Allison is another of our extremely valuable behind-the-scenes contributors to the success of CLBC.  If you don’t know, here are some of the ways Allison keeps us humming along~

  • Keeps our computer hardware current, integrated and working
  • Maintains our computer security
  • Maintains our ACBLScor database for scoring and masterpoint allocation purposes
  • When we need Member information on Advancements, Allison helps track down the history.
  • Notifies the Unit Board various CLBC announcements (significant birthdays and member deaths)

Furthermore, Allison has been a long-time contributor to Unit 174 for the benefit of ALL Houstonians!

  • Allison is the webmaster for www.acblunit174.org
  • She works with the Unit Board to post the various features… advising and editing along the way.
  • Keeps the website updated with the latest Tournament Flyers

Allison is a model of what it means to be a good member of our bridge community.  She is a pleasure at the bridge table, mentors a newer player most Sundays and helps our club and Unit function effectively.

We all love that we have a nice club, good tournaments and a thriving Houston bridge world ~ and that does not happen without volunteers who contribute…

Allison steps us and “gives back”!

THANK  YOU  ALLISON!

8 is Enough Team Game…great for Mentee/Mentors!

Eight is Enough Team Game!

Get your Teams together using the below format

All players are assigned a number 1, 2, or 3 depending on their masterpoint level:

Level 1

Players with less than 750 mps

Level 2

Players with 750 to 2000 mps

Level 3

       Players with over 2000 mps

  • No team can have more than 8 points for members on their team.
  • If two players are designated as ‘3,’ both of their teammates would have to be designated a ‘1’ to keep the total below eight.
  • A '1' and a '3' could play with two '2s'.
  • Or four players who are all ‘2’ could be on the same team.
  • It's okay for a team to total less than eight, but not more.
