GRBC Payment Options

Introduction

Once you have filled out a lesson or membership registration form, you need to pay up front to ensure that you are registered for the lesson or as a member in good standing. Several methods of payment are accepted.

Cash / Cheque / Debit

Payment can be made in person at the Club during a time when there is a bridge game or bridge lab running (see Schedule). Cash, cheque and debit card payments are gratefully accepted. Credit card payments are frowned upon. Someone will ensure that the transaction is recorded so the Treasurer knows your name(s), what service(s) you paid for and how much the payment was.

For cheque payments, make it payable to Grand River Bridge Club (not GRBC). Starting in 2025, you can no longer mail cheques to the GRBC Treasurer.

Electronic Funds Transfer (aka Interac e-Transfer)

Canadian banks and credit unions allow you to send funds electronically from one bank account to someone else’s bank account. The two banks can be different (eg Royal Bank à Scotia Bank). You might be charged a fee by your bank, typically $1.25.
