Congratulations to Sandy Davies and Tom Gisborne on winning the New Year Swiss Pairs, 12 VPs ahead of Martin White and Pete Waterman in second place, with Mary Cousins and Graham White just behind in third. Full results are in the Results section on this site.

At 12 tables, this was the biggest event held at the club since the pandemic.

Three pairs win handicap prizes based on the NGS and it was very close between them:

Maire Reilly and Jan Coutts (+6.85%)

Sue Curtis and Kate Lumb (+6.45%)

Mary Cousins and Graham White (+6.45%)

The trophy winners were just behind with a +6.04% score, these scores being what the pairs scored in MPs above what the NGS expected.

Thanks also to Dave Robinson for subbing briefly for Tom Gisborne who had had a flat tyre on the A14!
