Australia and New Zealand (“Down Under”) issued a friendly challenge to the “Up Over” UK and Ireland to be played on Realbridge on 5^th/6^th December.

Like Topsy, the event grew until there were people from Canada, South Africa, Kenya, Ireland, Isle of Man, UK, Australia and New Zealand plus a few extras from Greece and Turkey. In total just short of 1,200 people played over the two sessions.

Congratulations go to David Waxman who, with partner Keith Joules (York BC), won Section 'A' (Monday) with a score of 69.66% which was also the highest score achieved by any partnership over the entire event.
Arthur Hughes and Dave Banks also distinguished themselves by coming 4^th with 61.7%, again in Section A (Monday).
