Services will be held Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 3:00pm, at Parkway Heights United Methodist Church for Mrs. Betty Jean Slay Bradley, age 87, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, who passed away peacefully Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Forrest General Hospital.
Betty was born on September 14, 1936, in Hattiesburg and grew up in Sumrall until her family moved to Hattiesburg in 1942. She graduated from Hattiesburg High School in 1954 and attended University of Southern Mississippi where she was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. Betty worked for Humble Oil while her husband completed Dental School in New Orleans. She loved genealogy and was an active member of Daughters of the American Revolution at the local, state and national level, the National Society of Colonial Dames XVII Century and The Order of the First Families of Mississippi 1699-1817. She was also an avid bridge player, and especially enjoyed duplicate bridge. Mrs. Bradley was also a member of Junior Auxiliary of Hattiesburg, and was a longtime supporter of The University of Southern Mississippi and Southern Miss athletics.
Betty was a homemaker and a charter member of Parkway Heights United Methodist Church where she served on numerous committees and taught her Sunday school class for many years. Betty was a member of Aglow International and she and her husband served on the founding Board of Directors of Christian Services. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Slay, Sr. and Mary Winter Slay, her brother and sister-in-law, Herbert Slay Jr. and Janet Slay, her son, Jeff Bradley. her niece, Debra Slay and her great-nephew, Austin Cockrell.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dr. Arthur Eugene (Mac) Bradley, her sons, Kim Bradley (Erin) and Todd Bradley (Mary Glenn), daughter-in-law, Patsy White, grandchildren Jake Bradley (Arianna) and Jesse Bradley (Brittany), Alex Bradley Toth (Brian) and Abby Bradley Puckett (John), Julia Bradley and Caroline Bradley and 6 great grandchildren; Jack and Harrison Bradley, Brooks and Kennedy Jane Bradley, and Braxton and McKenzie Toth, her nieces, Kathy Slay Rogers (Billy) and Karen Slay Cockrell (Lane).
Visitation will be 1:30pm -3:00pm at Parkway Heights United Methodist Church prior to the service.

Constance “Connie” Virginia Wyldmon, 77, of Hattiesburg, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Asbury Hospice House. A visitation will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. at University Baptist Church with a memorial service immediately following at 12 p.m.
Connie was born in Yazoo City, MS to Ada Collins and Albert Wildmon on June 30, 1946. She graduated from Yazoo High School in 1964. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. Connie worked in the office of Research Administration at the University of Southern Mississippi for 32 years and was the Director of that office for the last 8 years of her career, before her retirement in June of 2011.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ada Wyldmon; siblings, Ernest Wyldmon, Ruby Hinkle, Dot Purvis, and Ada Wyldmon; nephew, Wayne Wyldmon; and great niece, Kristin Purvis.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, Vicky Bryant, Judy Womack (Fred), Bubba Hinkle, Ricky Purvis (Diane), Darlene Purvis Lestrade (John), and William Purvis (Crystal); and numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to Homes of Hope for Children, 344 Harold Tucker Rd. Purvis, MS, 39475.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the caring staff at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Highland Cemetery for Mrs. Beverly Martin Seirsdale, 93, of Hattiesburg, MS, formerly of Jackson, MS, who died Sunday, February 18, 2024.
Mrs. Seirsdale retired from Barksdale Bonding and Insurance in Jackson, MS and was a member of Hardy Street Baptist Church. She was an avid bridge player.
She is survived by one son, Terry Martin (Jo Ellen) of Hattiesburg, MS; one daughter, Sherry Martin Welford (James) of Hattiesburg, MS; one step-daughter, Vicki Bailey (Glen) of Hattiesburg, MS; five grandchildren, Dr. William Allen Martin (Melissa), Dr. John Lloyd Martin (Lauren), Lauren Welford, Adam Bailey (Kate), and Kyle Bailey; three great-grandchildren, Graeham Fitch Mazer, Beckett Allen Martin, and Emma Kate Martin.
